Derek's red eyes seemed to provoke a similar reaction in Stiles, only this time his eyes went completely black. This wasn't blood lust he was experiencing, it was a completely heightened sense of rage.

His voice wasn't even human at this point, it had reached octaves that would make even Derek flinch. If an alpha's growl was designed to make betas flinch and cower, then a vampire's growl should have a similar affect on even the most battle scarred alpha.
